The 3-year HJRA formation pathway

HJ Rang Africa is a single 3-year program made of three sequential courses. Cadets progress from Basic Training, through Advanced Training, into a two-year Internship Course of continental mission and leadership internship.

  1. Stage 1Year 1 · 6 months

    Basic Training Course (BTC)

Soft skills and habits: character, discipline, spiritual foundation, communication, order and cohort formation. This is the foundation on which every future course builds.

    • Daily discipline, prayer and reflection
    • Physical training and Tong-Il Moo-Do
    • Divine Principle study
    • Cohort formation and personal accountability
  2. Stage 2Year 1 · 6 months

    • Leadership, ethics and applied theology
    • Church, NGO and organization management
    • Continental and cross-cultural affairs
    • Assignments, exams and staff evaluation

    • 1 year continental mission in the region
    • 1 year internship in a providential organization
    • Pastoral care and VIP care training
    • Eligibility gateway to UPA selection

Important commitment

Anyone accepted to HJ Rang Africa must complete the full 3-year training program. Failure to complete the course, or quitting the program, requires the cadet to refund all financial support received during the program.
