Requirements

Who can apply

Between 10 and 30 cadets — men and women mixed — are admitted per cohort, qualified through interview and written exam.

  • At least a high school graduate (certificate required). University graduates are recommended.
  • Has undergone a missionary program for at least 6 months, or served in church/HQ for at least 1 year as support staff. A 1-year missionary program is recommended.
  • 2nd Generation / Jacob Child: at least a 7-day Divine Principle workshop (certificate required).
  • 1st Generation: at least a 21-day Divine Principle workshop (certificate required).
  • Physically and spiritually healthy — please check your health carefully before applying.
  • Able to read and write in English, French or Portuguese. English is the main program language, so basic English comprehension is required.
  • Signed parental consent (except 1st Gen) and signed spouse consent if blessed.
  • A recommendation letter from your National Leader, sent to hjrangafrica@gmail.com.

HJRA 4th Class timeline

  1. Apr 1 – Apr 17, 2026
    Application window

    All recommended recruits submit their forms. Late applications will not be accepted.

  2. Apr 18, 2026
    General orientation

    Orientation on the current HJRA program for applicants and relevant leaders.

  3. Apr 20 – Apr 24, 2026
    Interview & Divine Principle exam

    Zoom interviews and DP exam. Stable internet, microphone and camera required; quiet background.

  4. Apr 27 – Apr 30, 2026
    Admission results

    Results presented to candidates and leaders, and published on the HJRA portal.

  5. May 1 – May 14, 2026
    Documents & visa

    Confirmed recruits gather police clearance, CV, qualifications, marriage certificate, passport copy, photo and prescribed permit fee.

  6. May 15 – Jul 31, 2026
    Visa confirmation

    The list of confirmed recruits is finalized based on visa applications submitted.

  7. Aug 24 – Aug 30, 2026
    Arrival in Zambia

    All 4th Class recruits must enter Zambia within this window.

  8. Sep 6, 2026
    Kick-off Ceremony

    Official launch of the HJRA 4th Class in Zambia.

Please take note

Important information

  • Please enter Zambia with a business visa. If your passport expires within 18 months, renew it before entering Zambia.
  • The Continental HQ does not provide flight tickets. Nations sending a candidate are expected to purchase a round-trip ticket with a flexible / open return date.
  • Candidates unable to travel to Zambia by August 31, 2026 will be disqualified except in specific documented cases.
  • UPA candidates are selected among HJ Rang missionaries. Eligibility begins only after successfully completing the Basic Training Course (BTC) with staff evaluation.
